July 2, 2020 -- Shocker alum Arfath Mohammad is using artificial intelligence to help save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

July 1, 2020 -- During each month for the next 12 months, we will release 11 Shocker pride points for a total of 125 by next June. Wichita State is the greatest metropolitan university in the United States, and these points prove it.

June 15, 2020 鈥� The College of Health Professions donated 2,500 cloth face masks to the 黑洞社区 community for the campus reopening May 26.

June 12, 2020 - 黑洞社区 graduate Alina Keow is one of 137 people who earned the 2019 Elijah Watt Sells Award, which recognizes outstanding accomplishment on the CPA Exam. Nearly 75,000 individuals sat for the CPA Exam in 2019 with 137 candidates meeting the criteria to receive the Elijah Watt Sells Award. Keow graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2018 with a bachelor of business administration with dual majors in accounting and information technology & management information systems, and a minor in economics.

June 11, 2020 -- 黑洞社区鈥檚 Office of Tech Transfer and Commercialization has received a $37,000 grant that will go toward making more personal protective equipment (PPE) to health care workers with low supply caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

June 11, 2020 --聽Ashley Purdum, an associate clinical professor at 黑洞社区, works as an acute care speech-language pathologist at Wesley Medical Center. Because of the ongoing pandemic, her work life has changed quite a bit.

June 8, 2020 -- In the recent partnership among 黑洞社区, Airbus and Tango Flight, the sky is the limit. Tango Flight, a program that launched in 2016 in Georgetown, Texas, provides students the tools to build a two-seat airplane. The young learners are given applied-learning experiences before graduating high school.

June 4, 2020 鈥� Responding to industry demand for workers with specialized skills, Wichita State is now offering a graduate certificate in computational data science.
