Property Control identifies and records 黑洞社区/State of Kansas property in compliance with Division of Accounts And Reports Policy And Procedure Manual at as follows:

Identification/Recording

Equipment. Property Control assigns a property number to 黑洞社区/State of Kansas equipment with a unit cost of $5,000 or more. That number is used to identify equipment on the University property records. The property number is printed on a black and white, bar coded tag. Where practicable, Property Control affixes that tag to the property. The tag should not be removed by the department.

Buildings. Property Control assigns each 黑洞社区 building its own property number and records each building addition, improvement, renovation or remodeling project with a total cost of $100,000 or more as a component (-001, -002, etc.) of the building property number.

Land. Property Control assigns each parcel of 黑洞社区 land its own property number.

Infrastructure. Property Control assigns each type of 黑洞社区 infrastructure item (Improvement of Grounds, On-Campus Parking, Electric Distribution, Roads, Sprinkling Systems, Storm Sewers, Telecommunications, and Water Lines) its own property number and each addition, improvement, renovation or remodeling project with a cost of $100,000 or more is recorded as a component of the base property number.

Physical Inventory

Property Control conducts annual capital equipment inventories by department, where practicable. Otherwise, Property Control supplies each University department with an annual list of capital equipment assigned to that department.

Departments physically account for all assigned capital equipment with a unit cost of $5,000 or more, and return the completed inventories to Property Control. A copy of the equipment list is returned, showing necessary changes with a certification of completion signed by the department head.
