"Love's Labor's Lost", by William Shakespeare

Description: In Shakespeare鈥檚 delightful and lighthearted comedy Love鈥檚 Labour鈥檚 Lost, the King of Navarre and his three companions commit to a life of study and self-improvement for three years. To help them keep their oath, the King demands that all women must remain at least a mile from the court. As the King and his men are settling down to a life of study, the Princess of France and her three ladies-in-waiting arrive. The women are forced to camp a mile away. But it isn't long before the King and his men find themselves falling for the charms of the ladies, and their carefully laid plans are soon abandoned. What follows leads us to a somewhat clever and unexpected ending!
Virtual Kansas Screendance Festival

Description: The Wichita State Dance Program has created a new format for the annual Kansas Dance Festival鈥擳he Kansas Screendance Festival. In response to the global pandemic, the dance program found a new format to express emotion and capture the creative spirit of dance. Choreographers from the Midwest will share their digital dance works on Dec. 3-5.
Wichita State will present Brave New World/Re-imagined for Film - an experimental work of dance and physical theatre inspired by the book by Aldous Huxley. The work examines the effects of a conformist society when confronted by the behavior of outcast individualists.

Wichita Contemporary Theatre Spring Dance Concert

Description: Dance returns to the stage with an eclectic evening of dance. The Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre Spring Concert will be a repertory dance concert featuring the faculty works of Denise Celestin, Cheyla Clawson Chandler, Nick Johnson, Sabrina Vasquez and guest artists.

Description: Mid-America Dance Theatre presents a student showcase of choreography, creativity and love of performance!

"The Scarlet Letter", an opera composed by Lori Laitman
A colaborative production between the School of Music and the School of Performing Arts.

Description: Based on Nathaniel Hawthorne鈥檚 cautionary tale of puritanical patriarchy, this American opera by Lori Laitman had its professional premiere at Opera Colorado in 2016. Laitman is considered one of the most prolific and fluent song and opera composers of our time.

Description: In 1951 Hollywood, at the height of the second Red Scare, a group of friends grapple with the fear and anxiety that sets in when your entire livelihood could be snatched away at any moment. When noted screenwriter Eliza Everett is called before the House on Un-American Committee to testify, her response to questioning sends shockwaves through the industry, including the people closest to her. As she negotiates how to move forward, she must decide what鈥檚 most important 鈥 her career or her family.
