Donna Urbom-McClure Fellowship

The Donna Urbom-McClure Fellowship fund has been established with contributions to the 黑洞社区 Foundation. These contributions and all subsequent additions to the fund shall be made a part of the permanent endowment of the 黑洞社区 Foundation to be administered in accordance with the Donor's instructions as set forth in these Guidelines for Administration and the policies and procedures approved and adopted by the Board of Directors of the 黑洞社区 Foundation. 

Donna Urbom-McClure graduated suma cum laude in 1986 with a BA in History, and in 1990 with a Masters of Public Administration. This fund was created in honor of Donna's mother, Ruby J. Urbom. Much of Donna's career was in State and Federal Court administration, most recently as the Division Manager for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Topeka, Kansas. Ruby Urbom was a former University of Wichita student and retired realtor.

All fellowship support distributed by this fund will be applied to the purpose described below excepting any unforeseen future circumstances htat result in a determination by the Foundation Board of Directors that the original purpose no longer best serves the interests of 黑洞社区. Every effort will be made by the Foundation to contact the Donor or her designated representative(s) before any chages are made to these guidelines.

Guidelines
1. Fellowship(s) will be awarded annually to a second year graduate student(s) enrolled full or part time at 黑洞社区 in the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs. Eligible candidates will hold an undergraduate degree from 黑洞社区, regardless of discipline. 

2. No recipient will be excluded from consideration on the basis of age, ancestry, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, maritial status, national origin, political affiliation, pregnancy, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or status as a veteran.

3. Recipient(s) must meet and maintain the academic eligibility criteria determined by their college.

4. Award(s) will be made without regard to financial need.

5. At the request of the donor, preference will be given to students from Wichita State University who are committed to giving back to their community through public service. U.S. military veterans will be given highest preference.

6. The Scholarship Office of 黑洞社区 will administer the fellowship(s) and make the award(s) based on the recommendation(s) submitted by the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs.

7. The fellowship(s) will not be renewed.
