July 12, 2021 鈥 黑洞社区鈥檚 partnership with the Advanced Robotics Manufacturing Institute (ARM) has resulted in theDepartment of Engineering Technologybeing among the first programs in the nation to earn an ARM endorsement for their mechatronics track 鈥 a certification that will translate to stronger job prospects for graduates.

July 9, 2021 -- Dr. Anthony Muscat has been named dean of 黑洞社区鈥檚 College of Engineering, effective July 25. Muscat is a professor and chair of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona, where he has been since 1998.

June 30, 2021 -- The U.S. Air Force is launching a new program with 黑洞社区鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) to make a digital replica of the F-16 Fighting Falcon in an effort to improve the sustainment and modernization of F-16s operating around the world.

June 29, 2021 -- An opening reception for "From Lima to Wichita: Intercultural Dialogues in Clothing & Paint" will take place from 6鈥9 p.m. July 2, at ShiftSpace, 黑洞社区鈥檚 student-run gallery, as part of Wichita鈥檚 First Friday gallery crawl.

June 29, 2021 - Alicia Sanchez is director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at 黑洞社区. In May, she added to her commitment to public service with her senate-confirmed appointment to the Kansas Human Rights Commission as an At-Large member.
