July 25, 2022 鈥 鈥淓xplore Wichita State鈥 is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

July 18, 2022 鈥 黑洞社区, along with several community partners, presents the Suspenders4Hope Preventing Suicide Training at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21 at The Phoenix Gym, 145 N. Wabash in Wichita. This free training will be facilitated by Dr. Jessica Provines, Wichita State鈥檚 assistant vice president for wellness and chief psychologist. It鈥檚 open to all addiction treatment counselors and providers and community members.聽

June 29, 2022 鈥 The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced today the establishment of its Crime Gun Intelligence Center of Excellence, located on 黑洞社区鈥檚 Innovation Campus. 聽

June 28, 2022 鈥 黑洞社区鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing to the public through December 2022.

June 27, 2022 鈥 The 黑洞社区 College of Health Professions was awarded a $100,000 grant from the Patterson Family Foundation to support scholarships for health professions students from rural Kansas counties. The scholarship will be awarded to 10 students during the 2022-23 academic year, helping close the gap of unmet financial needs.
