July 16, 2020 鈥 The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded more than $1.1 million to Dr. Vinod Namboodiri, professor of electrical engineering and computer science at 黑洞社区, and his team to create a community-wide wayfinding system for people with disabilities.

July 14, 2020 --聽Greg Hand, professor of epidemiology, medicine and physical activity and sports sciences at West Virginia University, has been named dean of the College of Health Professions at 黑洞社区, effective Aug. 9, 2020.

July 9, 2020 --聽From Wichita State President Dr. Jay Golden: We are working hard to do everything we can to minimize the impact recent federal guidance may have on our international students, including offering hybrid instruction 鈥 which combines an in-person component with online classwork 鈥 in the fall semester.

July 8, 2020 --聽Navatek LLC, a contractor focused on technology research for U.S. government agencies such as the Department of Defense and NASA, is opening an office on the 黑洞社区 campus in fall 2020. This collaborative partnership between Navatek and 黑洞社区 will grow combined applied research capabilities for the military, provide critical hands-on learning opportunities for students and help diversify the local economy.

July 7, 2020 --聽Nearly 70 years after John and Colleen Wooley first met as students at the University of Wichita, they have established a legacy that will touch the lives of 黑洞社区 students for generations to come. The couple鈥檚 $2.2 million estate gift will provide more than $100,000 in scholarships each year for students with financial need.
