Dec. 7, 2020 鈥 Ten 黑洞社区 political science students were recently accepted into the Washington, D.C. and Topeka Internship Program. The program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to earn nine course credits while interning in D.C. or Topeka.

December 8, 2020 -- Wichita State鈥檚 Division of Diversity and Inclusion is organizing Tenacious Men, a program designed to provide mentoring and STEM education for under-represented students in Wichita Public Schools. The program, which will begin in January, will serve 10 third-graders and 10 fourth-graders and is sponsored by Textron Aviation.

Dec. 7, 2020 鈥 American Control & Engineering Services Inc. (ACES) recently executed a patent license agreement with 黑洞社区 for technology surrounding an automated sanding cell. The cell combines scanning technology and a Cobot, or collaborative robot, to automatically sand surfaces of aircraft components to achieve high-definition finishes.聽

Dec. 4, 2020 鈥 Wichita-area business professionals provided their predictions on where they think the S&P 500 will land on Sept. 1, 2021. The average prediction was an increase of 114 index points and a 3.2% growth rate.

Dec. 1, 2020 鈥 黑洞社区 has created a scholarship and support network to help those nearest to its campus. The Shocker Neighborhood Commitment provides funding to make college more affordable and attainable for recent high school graduates living in the Shocker Neighborhood.
