Admission to the program

To be admitted into the CSD bachelor's degree program, you must:

  • Be enrolled, or admitted to, 黑洞社区
  • Have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Complete all pre-admission CSD courses with a 3.0 GPA or better

Inside the Program

Baby Day provides real-life experience for health professions students

Baby Day, an interprofessional event hosted by the Communication Sciences and Disorders and Physical Therapy departments, allows students to enhance their education with practical experience.

The event鈥攈eld in the springprovides students, families and professionals an opportunity to gather and learn more about the development of infants and toddlers. CSD students spend the day observing and evaluating babies' reactions and verbal skills. They also learn how motor development and communication go hand in hand.

Curriculum

You'll start out with pre-admission courses that teach the basics of communication sciences and disorders. Then, once you're admitted to the CSD program, you'll progress through the core courses. The entire pre-admission and major curriculum consists of 45 credit hours.

A departmental honors track is also available for this major.
