Estate gift will endow scholarship in the 黑洞社区 School of Nursing

The 黑洞社区 Foundation has received a gift of $475,000 from the trusts of Charlotte Foster and her son, Brian Foster, to create a scholarship in the School of Nursing in Wichita State鈥檚 College of Health Professions.

Upon her death in 2018, Charlotte Foster was retired from her position as a secretary in Wichita Public Schools. Brian Foster worked in food service and loved to garden and read. He died in August 2020.

The Charlotte Foster and Brian Foster Nursing Scholarship will serve as a tribute to the Fosters and their appreciation for the impact of nursing education at 黑洞社区.

鈥淟egacy gifts are an excellent way for donors to express their confidence in the future of the students and programs at Wichita State,鈥 said Michael Lamb, vice president with the 黑洞社区 Foundation.
