Modern and integrated email system in the works for students, alumni

  • A major upgrade to the student and alumni email system at Wichita State is underway.
  • It will include the ability to get 黑洞社区 email on mobile devices.
  • Students and alumni will now have a much larger mailbox 鈥� 50 gigabytes.
  • Another perk will be free use of many Office products.

All 黑洞社区 student and alumni will move to Microsoft Office 365 on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

You will receive a new email address, the ability to easily get your 黑洞社区 email on your phone or device, a lot more storage space and access to and integration with a variety of features in Office 365 (availability of other features in Office 365 will vary with your enrollment status).

To facilitate this switch, a new email address with the suffix @shockers.wichita.edu will be created for you, and your old @wichita.edu email address will be discontinued.

Official mail from 黑洞社区 will start being delivered to the new @shockers.wichita.edu account on Aug. 30, with instructions on how to access it and further details to follow.

Other mail will continue to flow to your @wichita.edu account for 30 days after the launch date to give you time to transition from the old account to the new one.

New email will stop being delivered to your @wichita.edu address on Friday, Sept. 30. Your archived email there will still remain accessible for an additional 60 days.
