2020 updated Kansas Employment Forecast released

 

黑洞社区's Center for Economic Development and Business Research has released an updated Kansas Employment Forecast.

In 2020, Kansas total nonfarm employment is forecast to increase by 8,926 jobs, with a projected growth rate of 0.6 percent.

The fastest growth is projected to be in the service sectors, which are forecast to expand 0.9 percent and add more than 6,200 new jobs. The production sectors are expected to grow 0.6 percent, adding more than 1,300 new jobs to the state economy. The trade, transportation, and utilities sector is projected to add almost 1,000 jobs for 0.4 percent growth, while government sector employment is predicted to increase 0.1 percent.
