The administrative responsibility for the Center for Community Support and Research, formerly known as the Self-Help Center, in downtown Wichita has been transferred to the 黑洞社区 Office of Research Administration, according to Gary L. Miller, provost and vice president for academic affairs and research.
The center previously was the responsibility of the department of psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. With the change, David McDonald, associate provost for research at 黑洞社区, has assumed administrative responsibility for the center.
"We believe that this is a good time to reorient the center to bring its operations in line with our other research centers," said Miller. "We appreciate the efforts of Dr. (Greg) Meissen in creating and building the center."
Meissen, the former director of the center, will resume his teaching and research duties in the department of psychology.
